Scorpio and Libra compatibility makes for an intriguing and charismatic relationship, but the Sorcerer and the Idealist want very different things from life and may struggle to understand one another on a long term basis. If you have questions about Libra and Scorpio compatibility, ask our astrologer, or read on to find out more about this elusive match.
Libra is ruled by Venus, the planet of love, and is on a lifelong search for their perfect partner. Scorpio is traditionally ruled by Mars, the planet of passion. Together Venus and Mars make a feminine-masculine link (regardless of the gender of each partner) which is the basis of all successful relationships. With romance and passion combined, what could possibly go wrong for this pair? The answer lies in Scorpio’s modern ruling planet, Pluto. Pluto is the planet which drives Scorpio’s need for power and regeneration, and which gives the Sorcerer his or her darker edge. Everything which Pluto represents is something which Libra abhors, so this is not good news for Scorpio and Libra compatibility.
On the surface, this relationship is passionate and loving, with Libra enjoying Scorpio’s intense jealousy, and Scorpio admiring Libra’s sociable, easy going charm. Sexual chemistry is high, but where Scorpio and Libra compatibility may fall down is on intellectual chemistry. It’s not that either sign is unintelligent, but they operate on very different mental levels. Libra is a flighty, fast moving air sign, interested in everything but only on a superficial level. Scorpio’s intellect is much narrower in focus, but also much deeper. The Sorcerer will soon find Libra’s superficiality to be annoying, while the Idealist will bore of Scorpio’s relentless, one-direction progress. For Libra and Scorpio, compatibility depends upon each partner learning to adopt something of the other’s style, which is not at all easy.
In their everyday lives, Scorpio and Libra compatibility will have to face other obstacles too. It could be something as simple as their social lives: the Sorcerer likes to be alone or to be all consumed with a lover, while the sociable Idealist likes to among a throng of friends whenever possible. As the relationship starts to unravel, Libra will find that Scorpio jealousy, which made them feel so special at the beginning, to be more and more of a burden, while Scorpio will seethe and plot revenge for Libra’s flirting.
Unless the love between them is very strong, Libra, the Idealist of the zodiac, may soon decide that Scorpio isn’t quite what they were looking for after all, and will move on to a somewhat lighter relationship. Of all signs, Libra is the one that probably most fails to appreciate Scorpio’s darker intensity. For the Sorcerer’s part, patience will soon run out with Libra’s indecision and dithering, and the Libra partner may be dismissed as simply too “lightweight” for Scorpio’s tastes. Scorpio and Libra compatibility is hard to rescue once the relationship has started to go down hill, because both partners can be quite deceitful and underhand when they feel wronged.
Remember, though, that astrology compatibility is more complicated than sun signs alone. For a more thorough insight into this complex relationship, order an Astromatcha star sign compatibility report, which will be based upon the time, date and place of birth for both partners, and will consider the whole birth charts. No sun sign match can be dismissed completely, and if these two are in love then there are ways the relationship can be made to work. When it does work, both partners have a lot to gain from Scorpio and Libra compatibility, if only they hang on in there long enough to find out.
Scorpio can provide Libra with strategy and focus for those scatterbrained ideas, while Libra can provide Scorpio with some fun and light relief from that emotional intensity. Libra is also very beneficial to Scorpio when it comes to providing balance for Scorpio’s emotional tempests. However, for this love match to truly work, both partners must put in some effort – otherwise, this water and air sign match is likely to simply evaporate rather than form a beautiful rainbow.
Unfortunately this is all to true…im a scorpio woman who’s been with a libra male for 7 years we have two kids and its been nothing but heart ache and struggle for the past 4 years….once it fell apart the peices were hard to put back together…we fought hard to save what we had but never at the same time…our connection was/ is the hardest to break and i don’t think we will ever fully break the love and connection we have..but as for a relationship its not possible..and if there is a scorpio libra couple out there who was able to pull out of the fiery blaze and ash of this kind of match..you have my respect and envy..i love my libra with all i have to offer but it was never enough.
I’m a Scorpio Andy ex was a libra but because of her Scorpio moon and Virgo Venus which is my Venus as well, we got along fine. The probl was that she was toooooo jealous and drove me away. Other than that, it was great
It may be true, but I’m a rather loner Libra woman, not quite the social butterfly that everyone associates with the sign (my Ascendant is Scopio, maybe that’s why). My fiance and “going-to-be-husband” is a Scopio, pretty much alike his zodiac sign, and we were best friends from the beginning (more than 4 years ago). We understand each other a lot, talk a lot about everything, and are more at ease when we’re just the two of us, nobody else around. I think this couple to be one of the best zodiac matches ever.
I’m sorry to read ’bout Lena experience with her Libra husband, though. I hope they have better times, either together or not.
